Social responsibility is a fundamental concept in Bolzan's business philosophy: a choice that reflects the company's desire to respect the territory in which it was born. For this reason, he enthusiastically welcomed the involvement of the Paoletti Wool Mill in Follina (TV) in a project that aims to recover local textile farms and traditions in collaboration with the Fardjna shepherds cooperative.
Founded in 1795, Lanificio Paoletti has been developing and weaving warm fabrics in pure carded wool for two centuries. Since 2021 he has been involved in a zero kilometer supply chain project, which recovers the wool of an indigenous sheep of the province of Belluno that has long been at risk of extinction.
The Alpagota blanket designed by ruga.perissinotto is part of this project dedicated to the recovery and enhancement of the wool of the Alpago sheep. From the sheep's coat a quality yarn is obtained, soft and compact, with pleasant colors of natural nuances. The genuineness of this precious raw material becomes the distinctive element that is applied to the project: the blanket is in itself a simple, direct object, has a clean and linear shape like the decoration visible on both sides. The long sides feature a blanket stitch embroidery finish, while the remaining sides end with soft fringes. The sustainable choice of not using dyes allows the blanket to maintain the original colors and shades of beige and gray.
